Spiderman 3

On Wednesday, I went to the movie theater with my friend to watch the movie, Spiderman 3. I have really wanted to watch it since I watched Spiderman 2. My friends who already watched it said that it was so exciting and easy to understand for foreigners even though it didn't have the subtitles. Actually, it was exciting and it had a lot of funny scenes, but my friend and I think other Spiderman series are better than Spiderman 3. The running time was 2 and half hours, but I feel if this movie was longer than it is, it would be better than it is.
However, the most interesting thing I felt in this day is about the movie theater I went to.
This movie theater is located in front of Cheese Cake Factory in downtown. It is so big and they have 3 screens for only Spiderman 3. However, surprisingly, there was no one in the theater except us, even though it is one of the most popular movies in the world. I can recommend you to go this theater in the afternoon on weekdays if you want to watch a movie alone in front of the big screen.

SAM

I went to Seattle Art Museum known as SAM on last Sunday. SAM was grand opened on last Saturday, and only last weekend, people could enter this museum for free. This was the first time going to the museum in Seattle. Going to museum is so fun. I have some reasons for this. First reason is that I can see a lot of great art works in the museum. When I went to the museum in Paris to see one of the famous art works in the world and I stood in front of that work, I was trembled but excited. The woman smiled at me. She was very attractive. This work is called “The Mona Lisa.” Of course, SAM has a lot of famous art works from all over the world. Second reason is the architecture of the museum. Recently, many museums have the interesting architecture like modern buildings and modern interior decoration. SAM has 4 floors and they are so wide. You can lose your way easily. Third reason is that they have the shops in the museum. I like to go to these shops because they have a lot of art goods and their original goods. Of course, SAM has a shop called SAM SHOP. I will talk about this shop on next time. Anyway, if you are interested in art, you should go to SAM.

Jazz Show

On Wednesday night, I went to see Jazz show with my friends. This was the first time seeing jazz show. In this show, the main instrument is piano. The pianist’s name was Hiromi who is from Japan. I have really wanted to listen to her piano and to see her skill since I was in Japan because I have played the piano for years, and I have really cheered her because she is the same age as my age. Her skill was so amazing, and I was very impressed by her piano. While she was playing the piano, she looked like she was very happy to play it. Cute. I feel that she is the best pianist I have ever seen. She played with her band, and they used other instruments such as an electric guitar, electric bass and drams. Actually, their sound was like jazz with electric sounds, it was so interesting. I have never listened to that sound, but I like that sound! After the show, I had a good chance to talk with her, and I got her autograph on the CD I bought this day. I was so happy!
The place the show was held was so nice. I think it is a famous place for jazz shows in Seattle. If you want to know this place, please ask me. I really recommend this place. Fortunately, they have student discounts.

Mother's Day

Mother's day is a special day for mothers. Mothers can relax and don't need to work hard at home in this day because the children help their mother's work instead. Mothers also receive the gifts from their children on this day. I always gave my mother a set of flower and something she is interested in when I was in my country. Is this day good for only mothers? I don't think so. This is also a special day for children, because children don't have a good time to say thank you to their mother.

People in different countries celebrate Mother's Day on different days of the year because this day has a number of different origins. In my country, Japan, we have mother’s day on the second Sunday on May in every year. May 15th is the mother's day this year. I plan to send my mother a set of flower and a post card

"GOONIES"

I like to watch a movie and DVD. I have a lot of favorite movies and this time I recommend you to watch "The Goonies." Have you ever watched this movie? If you don’t know this movie, you should watch it.
This movie is about the adventure of the kid, named Mikey, with his friends. Mikey tries to save his house from the bank that his family rent the money from. Just a day before they move, he finds the map which is explained the place of the treasure. Mikey thinks that if he finds the treasure, his family doesn’t have to move, and then he and his friends run off on a quest to find the treasure. These kids are called “Goonies.”

I don’t want to tell you any more about this movie because I just want you to watch it. This movie is not a new one, but it’s more exciting than other movies recently. This movie was directed by Richard Donner who also directed Superman, The Omen and so on and written by Steven Spielberg. The cast is also nice. I think you can find a man who is famous for another movie. I am sure this is a masterpiece.

Coffee Shops in Seattle

Do you like coffee? I love coffee. I had coffee 5 times a day when I was in my country, but now I have coffee once or twice a day. I can't use a lot of money for coffee. Actually, it is not enough for me, but I don't want to waste the money, so I decided that when I wanted to have a cup of coffee, I should go to the best coffee shop.
In Seattle, there are a lot of coffee shops such as Starbucks Coffee, Tully's Coffee and Seattle's Best Coffee. Which is the best coffee shop? Starbucks? Tully's? Seattle's Best Coffee? People around me say, " the most famous coffee shop is Starbucks, but it is not the best coffee shop. Tully’s is better coffee shop than Starbucks." Actually, Starbucks has many chain stores in the world, especially in Seattle.
I often drink Café Mocha in coffee shop. I have a recommend coffee shop in Pacific Place downtown. It's called "Il Fornaio." They serve a great Café Mocha. It's strong but sweet. This Café Mocha is more delicious than Starbucks’ or Tully’s. If you like Café Mocha, you should go this shop. If you know a good coffee shop, please tell me!

Birthday Party!!

Last Friday, my friends and I held the birthday party for other friends. The party was held in my friend’s house where another party was held on 2 weeks ago. After finishing the school, I went downtown with my friend to buy birthday presents. I want to the shop named “Daiso” which has a lot of cheep stuffs. I recommend you to go this shop. After that, I went to public place market to buy flowers. There were a lot of tulips and they all were so beautiful. So, we decided to buy tulips.
The party started at 6 and we started eating a big pizza and a lot of bakery and drinking beer. Actually, I don’t drink alcohol too much, but this time, I thought I needed to drink it because of the birthday party. I got drunk a little bit.
AT the end of the party, we had the most enjoyable event. It was the birthday present. We gave them the birthday presents. We had 4 birthday people at this time, so we needed to have a lot of presents for them. We bought 4 presents for each of them. Some presents were kind of expensive, and some were funny. I was glad because they said they were very happy. They seemed they had a good time with us.
